Valentino Rossi

Valentino Rossi

In Honor of Valentino Rossi, we've put together a collection of all of his races.

Valentino Rossi's retirement from professional motorcycle racing at the age of 42 during last year's Styrian Grand Prix marked the end of one of the most extraordinary careers not just in motorsport but throughout the larger spans of sport.

In light of this incredible career, it is only fitting that it be brought to the notice of MotoGP newbies and his most fervent supporters throughout the world.

It was up to MotoGP writer Mat Oxley to take on the assignment and produce Valentino Rossi: All His Races. Valentino Ross's achievements in the top class and his apprenticeship years in lesser 125cc and 250cc classes.

In addition to following Rossi around the paddocks (and less glamorously, the airport terminals) throughout the Italian's 25-year Grand Prix career, Oxley was able to gain a unique perspective on both the highs and the lows of Rossi's career, including a rather desperate insight into his disastrous two-year stint with Ducati in 2012.

In All His Races, John Oxley provides a brief yet detailed account of every race weekend, allowing the reader to experience the races and season as a complete without getting overwhelmed with information.

When it comes to following Rossi's progress in his ambition to be the best Grand Prix racer on the planet, Oxley gives useful statistics and standings for each race and season.

As an alternative to retelling the weekend's activities, Oxley provides a series of brief interludes that focus on a single issue that was a key discussion point during a particular season or maybe symbolized events that were crucial to his career and overall personal progress during that time.
